Finally had a chance to handle one of these a couple weeks ago. Not that I would expect anything different from Kimber, but I’m amazed people will spend $2000 on these things. In fact, the one I handled was full on bling, so it was $2100. That’s just $400 short of a legit Staccato 2011.
As usual for Kimber, it’s all about crazy colors and machining and NOT about quality parts. Fitting was just like a base Custom II, MIM parts galore, a 3D printed plastic grip, and a poor trigger (by 2011 standards). But hey, you get cool slide cuts and a fancy color combo.

As I’ve said before, I think the 2011 design absolutely should be wild and bold, but get the basics right first.
Sorry, just can’t stand Kimber. These pistols are laughable.
Anyone have one of these or have any experience with them? I think even the Kimber apologists will have a hard time explaining why someone should choose one over a Staccato P.
