Finally got around to "fixing" mine and was VERY happy with the results. I purchased the bolt tube cover and buffer cylinder recoil reducer.

Fired a couple rounds today and putting my cheek on a piece of foam instead of bare metal was..... well I don't even know the right adjective to express how much nicer it was.

Recoil reducer ? HOLY COW ! The difference was HUGE !

Didn't buy the handle cover as I had a piece of tubing the right size, but again, WOW, what a difference !

Once I put on a recoil reducing pad on the butt stock this thing will be like shooting my 22lr Marlin 60.

Another one to check out is Mcarbo.com

They have improved triggers among other items.

Don't remember what, but know I've bought a couple things from mcarbo and was happy with them.

The double finger charging handle and trigger job would be nice but don't know if it's worth $170, but seriously considering the Stainless Steel Feed Ramp Upgrade.

I have installed all of the Mcarbo upgrades and they are all awesome. The trigger is excellent as well as the stainless feed ramp. Another worthy upgrade is their muzzle brake. Not like there is much recoil anyway, but between their brake and the recoiless charging handle, its like shooting a .22. Probably the funnest gun I own to shoot!

Muzzle brake and feed ramp are on the list to get when I get some more funds. Yeah, combined with the buffer tube recoil reducer and toss on a gel filled butt stock recoil reducer it'll probably be somewhere between a bb gun and a 22. That gel filled pad is a godsend on the 44 mag rifle too :)

Have you tried the shell deflector ? I thought about but it looks like it deflects downward and you could catch a hot casing with your hand.

The shell deflector is the only Mcarbo part I don’t have! I personally don’t see the need for it. I swear, I did not want to turn this $350 rifle into a $600 one,but I couldn’t quit. I build ARs too and they all end up tricked out. All of Mcarbo’s parts are worthy upgrades though. The sub2k really is such a fun gun to shoot. Oh by the way, I also put in a Blitzkreig front sight post, and they are freakin awesome too.
