The Masada is made in Israel and is more or less about the same size as an HK VP9. It is a really nice looking gun with a dark grey finish. It has a surprisingly good trigger, will take most optics with the supplied mounting system and is extremely accurate. Magazines can sometimes be a bit hit and miss. I don’t know why it isn’t more popular. I got mine for less than $400.

 

Good gun

Nothing overly large about it. A full size gun is a full size gun, regardless of which service caliber.

 

I really like the Masada but it sits in the safe and I keep accumulating Glocks. The IWI is a great shooter but I got frustrated with the near total lack of support - hardly any options out there for holsters, sights, extended controls, etc. Even factory support is lackluster - I had to get on a waitlist to buy factory magazines; waited over a year for recoil spring assemblies to come back in stock; etc. It's a somewhat frustrating ownership experience but the gun feels and shoots very, very well.

Good thing I did not buy one. I am impressed on the ones I've handled, though.

 

It is a decent pistol, great value for the price point.
The trigger pull was better than expected.

 

I have a Masada (standard) and a Masada 9S (Slim).Both great shooters and I installed the Meprolight bright sites on both. The Masada 9S is a great summer concealed carry and it replaced my G43X. The 9S will accept Jericho and CZ75B mags. These are great as an extra mag. I also have 6 IWI mags for each weapon. Both are optics ready. I have had no issues with either weapon.

 

I could live with two until I got more.

 

I bought my Masada, NIB, at an LGS and made it out the door for $498 as I didn't have to pay $25 for a NICS check. I think it is a great firearm for me. Everybody is different. It holds 17+1, better then my Browning HP's. Small enuff for CC. Got an IWI holster and awaiting a couple of extra mags. While there is no serial #-mfg. date record online, I called IWI USA direct and the CS guy gave me a mfg date of 6-30-2023. Mag release is a matter of getting use to. There are a couple of solutions online. Shoots great, accurate and reliably so far. I forsee having a lot of fun with it.

 

Another polymer alternative, in a field of striker fired polymer framed 9mm guns. Yes it has an excellent trigger, better than the gold standard (Glock). The compact is completely a dwarf of the full size with good capacity, so consider that.

 

Wait a minute Glock is the gold standard for triggers? In all guns? In polymer guns? In square polymer guns made in Austria? VP9 and PDP want a word. 😎😜😁

 

EUREKA! Just got my two extra magazines for my Masada in the mail. Checking 'em out to make sure they work. Oh, happy day!
