Several months back when the gen4's became available, there were rumors that Glock was using a different polymer for their frames, does anyone know if there's any truth to this. I know several mfg's have been using Zytel for quite years and it's incredibly tough. Just curious if it's been confirmed or just another rumor?

Zytel is just DuPont's trade-name for its full line of nylon polymers. I believe Glock has been using nylon 66 all along.

I heard someone say they were using nylon 6 or nylon 66. They don't publish what material they actually use.

The wikipedia page says they use polymer 2. I only own 3rd Gen Glocks so I have no idea if they've changed it.

I heard from a super-secret inside source that the new Gen. 4's are made from Super Sculpee 666.

I heard the blue label LE Glocks use a slightly different (read "better") polymer than the other label Glocks.
