I saw a review on the new FN Reflex, their slimline small 9mm. I thought the gun had merit, good capacity a bit too small in the grip with 11rd mag and too long with 15 rd mag but it seemed to click on everything else.
What I don't understand is that FN could have had a huge winner being the only slimline DA/SA hammer fired gun on the market but they internalized the hammer. This removes one of the main benefits of having a hammer i.e. thumbing the hammer on holstering.
What are the benefits of having an internal hammer? They say it makes racking the slide easier, but is that the only thing? I think they missed an opportunity here and made the gun unnecessarily more complicated.
Same situation with the upcoming H&K by going striker fired.
