Love what you could do with this, but worried about the recoil of a g 20 just throwing the thing off, especially with a 6 inch barrel and hunting loads.

Could a standard drill and tap mount hold it on, or would you need the slide milled?

I would appreciate any thoughts...

Thanks for all the feedback about this.

Mostly this will be a hunting gun, so accuracy help at longer distances was my main goal. I called several places about doing this, all seemed pretty positive that the 10mm will not sling the sight right off. But I did talk to a local guy, who is a gunsmith but doesn't mill, and he seemed a little worried.

I took the great advice from someone on here and actually called trijicon. I highly recommend this as they were very knowledgeable and helpful. His thought was that even with heavy 10mm loads from a 6 inch barrel, it wouldn't be enough to sling the sight or even pull it off zero. He did take the time to explain that milling the slide is the most secure form of mounting and so that's what I have done.

I called several shops, and decided on glockworx. They were very helpful on the phone, do this a lot, and don't take upwards of 6 months to get this back to you like some. His time is 2 weeks returned from when he receives it. They will also use a bore laser to sight it in for you. Of course, you need to actually fire the gun yourself to completely sight it in, but he gets it "pretty close." I also decided to remove the iron sights, as this is not a self defense gun. My thought was that at longer ranges, they might obstruct something in a hunting situation. Not sure I did the right thing here, but it makes sense to me.

Again, thanks for the help
