Impulse buy. Darn you Aimsurplus.

Been slowing down on firearm purchases. Mainly buying ammo. Want to retire with a couple closets full of ammo. (And no I do not want to hear about reloading. If I wanted to spend my golden years cranking away on a cold machine I would spend time with my wife.)

Aim has Gen 4 Glock 23 police trades for $300. Not bought a Glock in over a decade. Have a few in the gun closet, but not even taken one to the range in years. Not sure why it appealed to me. For some reason it did and I placed an order. Picked it up Friday and ran out to the range Sunday. The trigger is stiff. Maybe it had not been shot much? Not unbearable. Mainly surprising. Shot fine. I shot 50 HST and 100 FMJ. Then swapped in one of those cheap Aim 9mm barrels (darn you Aim, pt2) and ran 100 9mm FMJ as well. All 250 rounds went off without an issue. As one might expect. Enjoyed shooting it. Glad I gave into impulse. Probably never carry a Glock again, but I think I still have some G19 holsters in the pile. You never know.

This is 40 rounds of 165gr HST at 7 yards.

Nice

Have had good results with conversion barrels in all my glocks too.

Get your wife to run the reloader, win win,

I find a chop to the throat will encourage them.

I have my own bedroom, with a lock on the door.

Mine was like that too. It's a gen 4 that saw little use and the trigger seemed stiff. Not bad at all, but different. My gen 4 23 wasn't like that and all I have are gen 2 and 3 guns to compare it to.
I did disassemble it and found the springs are just standard Glock springs you get in any off the shelf gun.

I appreciate this post, I went straight to the AIM website and topped off my stash of 45acp and 9mm ammo.

My little (6'-3" 260 lbs) bro pointed these out to me and I have to admit I am tempted. I just bought a 5G G48 and tomorrow am picking up a Cimarron 1858 New Army 8" 45 Colt, but I just spent $245 at Sam's Club on consumables so $299 for something I'll enjoy for years seems like a must have. I have 2 boxes of Winchester White Box 40's, purchased a few decades ago when I thought I'd buy a 40. I also have a large coffee can of once fired brass, where I got that I don't remember but it too is a few decades old. The only thing I don't have is dies for my SDB or single stage or bullets. And I don't know if I want to get into reloading yet another caliber. I most recently started reloading 45 Colt for my Vaquero and the soon to have New Army.
