So the TLR-7 I ordered for my new G45 came in. I plan to try them both out this weekend. I may start actually carrying a WML this winter. Right now my Surefire 300X U-a and G17 are relegated to bedside table duty. I know the Surefire/ G-17 combo left a lot of powder residue. I imagine the G45/ TLR-7 will do the same. So with that being said....
How do you guys keep your WML clean after range sessions? I thought about applying something like turtlewax to act as a barrier to stop powder residue, which seems to be hard to clean off. Or should I just shoot ane wipe the light down with alcohol afterwards? It seems like it would be easy to scratch up a light with repeated cleaning. Surely somebody has come up with a clever solution for this issue. I’m all ears...
