On average, how much overtime (actual hours worked, not holiday pay, etc) do you work, a year?
The last few years it's between 300 and 400 hours. Another perspective: I work 59-62 forty-hour work weeks, a year.
You?
ETA: We have three weeks vacation, a year from years 5-10. This many hours is actually worked in 46-48 weeks, when you factor in vacation, sick, and training times.
If 40 hours a week X 52 weeks a year=2,080 hours, this would be 49 hours a week, worked, best case (300 hours OT in 48 weeks). Worst case is almost 54 hours a week (400 hours OT in 46 weeks).
This doesn't look that bad, until you realize there are several 40 hour weeks, in there, and a lot of 17+ hour days or days where you finish a shift then spend a day in court/training.
