Got any pix of the parts? Most of us here can tell at a glance if you have them all.
The only thing of concern is the striker liner. It's a little plastic piece that looks like a black straw that's been cut to about 2". I bought a tool for installing it. And it has to be clocked correctly as well.

Oh excellent, this is the pile o' parts. I didn't include the 80% lower parts, but I can if asked. I'm here for the slide atm.

No "clocking" necessary. The beveled end must go in first though.

 

That must be what I was thing of. It's been a while.

 

When you say Beveled, what do you mean?

 

One end is square and butts up against the square shoulder of the tool. The other has a slight chamfer on it so it will start into the slide channel easier.

 

Finally found a video that shows the glock slide parts I was refering to! I need to figure out how to assemble the firing pin assembly. Every video I'm finding, already has that assembly in 1 piece. But mine is in pieces.

There are videos all over You Tube on how to completely tear down and reassemble a glock.
This may not be a good project for a Glock noobie.

 

Youtube has plenty of videos, but if you can't even assemble the disassembled parts, is completing an 80% frame really a good idea?

 

While your at it you should consider getting a press and loading your own ammunition too.


What is the fascination with 80% build Glocks? There are still plenty of ways to get a genuine Glock that will go bang every time and save you time trying to figure out how to build it.

It's rewarding.

 

Building a 1911 is rewarding. Building a Glock not so much.

 

Ah ha! Finally found a video that shows exactly what you need to do to get this thing assembled!

^Just in case anyone else has my issue. Thanks for the...help? Took me 3 days of interweb and youtube searching to find that. Google was seriously burying those results to the 12th page for me. I was hoping someone here had a link saved.

 

Slide the spring onto the striker. Compress the spring and install the spring cups, wide end toward the firing pin end of the striker. Slide the striker assembly into the liner, aligning the tab with the slot in the back of the liner. Slide the liner into the slide.

 

Yep, I actually didn't know there was a liner in the slides of firearms. Is this a thing only glocks have? Or do all pistols have a liner?
