Both those guns look "cooler" than Glocks, but you can't beat the simple manual of arms and same trigger pull weight every time a Glock has.

I don't want safeties I forget to turn off, and heavy first shot triggers pills, that means you have a higher chance of missing your first shot, and that will get you killed. It is what it is.

Shoot a five to ten thousand rounds in about 20 years.
You will not forget the safety, nor will the DA trigger hamper your first shot.

He makes that point in the video with the Beretta and at the end where he compares his Glock 19 to both of them. He didn't really come out and say it, but I think he preferred the Sig 226 as he didn't put it on safe when he racked the slide and he seemed to shoot the Sig better. Then again that could just be me as I prefer the Sig to the Beretta too.:whistling:

Agree. Beretta should have moved that safety. Easy for engage the safety on a reload. I do like the 92A1 though. I give it the edge in looks.

Great thread. I hated the 92FS/M9 and have several 226s. Well I hated the 92FS until I bought one about two months ago. Now I cannot put the damn thing down. Even went out and bought the A1. Still no M9. But I am thinking about getting a second 92 FS. I had to renew my handgun permit Thursday and I took the 92. I will use ANY reason to shoot this thing. My leg and butt are sore from me kicking myself for not getting one sooner.

I wish Beretta still made the "G" version with the spring loaded safety lever that would return the safety to the off position. I have the first Elite and it's the "G" version.
+1

Better yet, redesign the safety system of the 92 to be like the Cougar and the PX4!! Easily converted to a "G" model, with no additional parts (you actually remove a couple)!

I think they are both great pistols. My only beef with the 92 is that the front sight is not dovetailed on most versions. I don't understand why they wouldn't have a front sight that can be easily replaced with a night sight or whatever the shooter wants. Mechanically they are both excellent though, and I would carry either and feel confident.

I will get another 92 but there are others that are higher on the list
