Any one on this forum have the Springfield Armory Hellcat Micro Compact 3"?

How do You like it? Good/bad/ugly.

I am getting one that comes with 10 round mags and am going to use the Gear Up program that is 3 extra Mags plus a bag (do not really need that but we will see).

Do You carry it and if so, do you carry in a pocket?

I have been looking for a small high capacity handgun that will fit a pocket or conceal readily.

I have access to a LCP II 380, but I, for some reason, can not get my brain to accept it....lol. Had looked into 32 acp but that is another caliber and not sure I want to go that route.

My Shield 40 with a 9mm barrel and mags is ok, but the capacity is not what I want, at least in back up magazines.

I have six guns that convert to 9mm and also 357 Sig as well as 40, but only the Shield 40 and Shield 45 PC (and they are very good guns) will work in a pocket without too much weight.

Carry mine everyday. I’m sitting at the high school at football practice or it would be on my side.

Ugly is trigger. $100 for the Apex trigger and it really cleans it up.

Over 1000 rounds and no misfires yet. The gear up will get you 2 15 and 1 12 round mag. Excellent accuracy and really fun to shoot.

I’m not a fan of any pocket carry but, to each their own.

Can you choose the magazines you want when doing the gear up promotion?

I would be satisfied with 1 at 13 and 2 at15....the add two more 13s.

Thanks for all the replies folks.

Picked up the new Hellcat macro today. 2 10 round magazines.

Got magazines on order 2 11 round and 2 13 round and the Gear Up will provide 2 15 round and 1 13 round as per customer service.

Brought the gun home disassembled and did cleaning (there was a target in the box with 5 holes in it) and reassembled.

I have dry fired it about 100 times and it feels good in the hand. The sights are very easy to get on target. Now to actually fire it and see what she has got.

Garden is calling right now so might be a few days before shooting, plus need time to get the mags I ordered in.....next week at best. Might be threeish weeks for the three Gear Up mags to get here.

Looking forward to see how it handles with live ammo. This is my only dedicated 9mm gun but I have 6 guns that will convert to 9mm.

AND, for the 14th or 15th time this is my last gun purchase.....I swear...or was that another lie?

Was able to get to the range yesterday with the Hellcat.

This gun is accurate and I like the trigger.U put 150 rounds through it with no problems. First 4 or 5 shots were about two inches low from 8 yards. After that I had the sights figured out and the shots were on target.

I like the beaver tail grip because I get a high grasp on the gun. And the gun is not snappy, but I am accustomed to 10 mm and 44 magnum as well as 40 and 357 Sig.

Now waiting on 5 more mags to get here. After a good cleaning I will put another 300 + rounds through it and use SD ammo and various fmj ammo and hopefully see that it will not have any problems.

Oh, yesterday after about 20 rounds I was shooting fairly rapidly. Yep trying to break it. It did not fail and I really like that U shaped rear sight.

My only dedicated 9mm out of way too many handguns.

I have the HC Pro, not the smaller HC, and it is combat hold.

I put the front sight in the U of the rear sight like it fits there...lol!

I put glow on in the tritium front sight as my eyes will not pick up the tritium.

Oh, the gun does not like reloads at all.

What's the matter with your reloads? My Hellcat has a very short throat and wouldn't chamber my reloads that worked in my other guns. After I adjusted my c.o.l. so they would pass the plunk test in the Hellcat it will run them perfectly like any other factory ammo.

My reloads were purchased. I do not reload.

The reloads worked fine in my Shield Plus and other guns with 9mm conversion barrels.
