Could I put G47 slide (getting the slide for my 19.5) and put it on a police trade in 22.4 frame by changing the locking block to a g19 block and appropriate back plate? Just wondering if possible, even if just being a g17 with extra steps.

No. The front of the G47 slide is similar to the G34, since G47 frame has a shortened dust cover. The G22 Gen 4 frame would be too long toward the muzzle to accommodate the G47 slide. View attachment 1194952

Wouldn't the slide just fit inside of the dust cover though? Since it does it anyways when it cycles.
