Picked up a 9mm AR. A throwback clone from the 1980s from the DOE to protect nuclear sites and when moving nuclear weapons and material. Markings are very nice. The brace is well designed and looks much like the original stock. I made a couple mods… a heavy buffer and flat buffer spring to accommodate the 9mm blowback. I also added tritium sights, since it needs to be radioactive, right?

First range break in session was fun. One FTE in a hundred rounds. Recoil is heavier than my MP5K. Accuracy was first rate.

It fits (broken down) nicely in a small backpack. Makes for a great truck gun and I can sleep soundly knowing my local nuclear power plant is safe…

Nice looking little rig. I've always liked these along with 635. I have a complete RO633 parts kit (DOE) minus the lower and a ton of mags. This came from the estate of a friend who had the gun complete as a post'86 dealer sample. I was fortunate be able shoot the gun a bit while he was still alive. Just waiting for the right Colt lower to come along for an SBR build.
