Enfield top break in OD GunKote:

It's pretty durable stuff, you'll get some thinning on all the high use spots like slide rails, corners of slide etc.. as you'd expect of any finish, but otherwise it's prett decent.
On the revolver, you can see torch marks from shooting on the cylinder and some wear spots, the torching wipes off though.

as with all of the paint on finishes,

it depends on the prep work put in before hand,

the best will have a parkerized base finish which actually finishes the metal itself, where the paint is just a surface coating,

i would ask to see at least pictures of his other work, and look for runs and sags,

and ask him how thick he sprays the wear spots, along with what he does to internals and wear parts

I used it on a 1911 and it has held up very well..Its still on the slide rails..Prep is very important..I blasted it with 240 alum. oxide, sprayed the crap out of it with degreeser then sprayed it with several thin coats and baked it..Used it in 3 different training classes with alot of presentation work and no signs of holster wear yet..have about 4000 rnds through it..
