Picked up a Taurus 44 magnum, 4" ported barrel. This is NOT the tracker, it's the 6 shot revolver.

Don't like the factory rubber grips. I bought a Hogue monogrip for it, but did not realize that the Hogue grip leaves the metal backstrap of the revolver exposed. That is pretty retarded. I have not even bothered putting it on yet, I get the feeling that grip is going to hammer the web of my hand even worse than the crappy OEM grips.

Who makes a decent rubber grip for these?

Dunno. Taurus made a 5 shot Tracker, 6 shot large frame (mod 44?) and Raging bull.
If it's the model 44, its gripframe is the same as the med frame 669.

Found some on eBay! Uncle mikes, large frame. I think they are discontinued now. They look better than the oem grips imo, but not so sure they will be easier on the hand.
