Wondering if anyone uses grease instead of oil on the connector? I realize the manual says oil but I noticed that Glock used some type of grease on my connector when I got it back from warranty service.
Might try some of the copper anti-seize grease in that area.
BTW, im using Breakfree CLP for the oil. I like it a lot but can't say i've tried much else (other than Hoppe's gun oil which I found had too high a viscosity and made a bit of a mess).
