Glock Store legit?

I was in the market for a KKM barrel for my G17 gen5 and KKM showed a four week lead time. Glock Store showed them in stock. I place the order and nothing. A week goes by and I email them for an update. I email them on the 23rd, inquiring about my order and get this reply. “I do not have an ETA, as soon as KKM sends us the product we will ship the order.”

My question is, is this normal for them to not notify customers they don’t actually have a product? I usually by from Brownells, Midway, Primary Arms or direct from the manufacture so I freely admit I have little experience with them.

Anybody have suggestions for good Glockcentric outlets to buy cool Glock parts from?

~Thanks for letting me vent.

That sucks. I’m thinking about canceling my order but don’t know if I can get one any faster anywhere else. That said, if I’d known they didn’t actually stock them , I would have purchased directly from KKM.

I ordered this Double Diamond Glock 22 .40 Cal barrel from the Glock Store...
I had approximately 2000 down the bore and this happened... See pics...
Since I had the barrel for 2 years they did give me a 40% discount on a new barrel...
As you all can see the part on the bottom of the barrel just sheered off....
The G22 was not hurt at all and I was using Winchester White box...
No Kaboom just broken barrel...
When I took the gun apart at the range the empty shell case was still in the barrel and no damage to the shell case...
I dont know if this has ever happened to anyone else but it has to be a defect in the metal...
I think the Glock Store should have given me a new barrel no charge but I did have it for 2 years....
At this point Im good to go with the new barrel...
but it does make me wonder about the quality of their products....

Yeah, that’s clearly a defect. Lucky it wasn’t a catastrophic failure with an injury! Glad you’re okay!

Contact your cc company and dispute the charge and move on because the Glock store is GARBAGE.

I ordered some stuff a while ago (years) and I never got a confirmation or anything after they charged my card. Weeks went by and nothing.
I eventually asked for a refund, received it a week later and never bothered with them again.

I used to order from them often. It’s a shame to hear that they are having issues. I know lots of businesses have had supply issues due to the virus or they use it as an excuse. If anything they should let you know up front that there are issues.
Not because I don’t believe you, but because I was curious I went on the GS site and went through the process of selecting a KKM barrel for a Gen 5 G17. At no point in the selection, adding to cart or going through the order process was there a flag or any info saying the order might be delayed.

Question: you said you emailed them. Did you try calling them? I have found that calling often gets better results.

Why, so you can hear Lenny Mcgill's and his BS over and over before a live rep gets on the other end. I waited about 55 minutes one time before I got to talk to a live person, never again.

Sounds like the Glock Store I used to order from. Past tense, and yes they are notorious for displaying in stock products and then giving you OOS once they charge you. They will even split up an order and bill you later, so you have to stay on your toes with them or you can find yourself getting billed for items you ordered months ago.

Not worth it, so I dropped them. They are no longer an option (for me) and will remain that way.

I would suggest trying to cancel any pending orders before you are actually charged and billed for it. The Glock Store is just not worth the hassle.

so who’s the best vendor these days for all the little bits and pieces like spacer sleeves, firing pin springs, extractors and the like? is there one vendor that’s head and shoulders above the rest these days with inventory, prompt shipping, decent prices and customer service? or is it catch as catch can?

that’s a pretty limited range of offerings for the official web site. the parts page has only 39 items, mostly backstraps and barrels. plus some repackaged ameriglo sights and mos adapters, and that’s it. pretty pathetic seems to me.

what’s people’s experience with glockmeister? Glock Parts, Pistols & Accessories | Glockmeister are they any better than Lenny’s? i’ve actually had good luck with Lenny’s in the past, dealing with the San Diego guys. has service deteriorated since he opened in Nashville? i woulda thought that service had gotten better.

Never bought guns from them, but I have bought some other things from them and they were pretty quick.
