The plastic on plastic is self lubricating. Putting oil there may only serve to attract lint and dirt which would work against you. At least this is my pov. HTH.

That is pretty neat! I wouldn't use it for a carry gun but would be a great addition to a range competition gun.

I’ve two Glocks I carry regularly. Both have this reduced weight spring with hundreds of mag changes. I would hate to flub a mag change when really needed so I make reasonable accommodations.

I did this with my g19 and it stuck way out there.
Ended up with a TD mag release.
