Recently, I started handling my 2 full sized Glocks. The 17.3 and 22.3. I have a 19.3 and 23.3 - and over the last few years, I've given more attention to the 23. I hate finger grooves on Compact Glocks, so I had a very nice custom frame reduction on the 23. Removed the finger grooves, and undercut the trigger guard. It fits my hand so much better. I keep conversion barrels in the case, so I can go from 40 to 9mm, or to 357 Sig whenever I want. In fact, this 23 acts no differently than the 19 I have when I convert to 9mm.
Now there's this issue. When I started handling the full sized Glocks, i realized they feel so much better in the hand than any Compact or SubCompact. I started comparing the full to the compact, side by side, and in handling them. The 17 is really not much bigger than a 19 or 23. Little bit longer slide, little deeper grip. That's about it.
I want to ask: Who uses Glock 17s on a regular, normal basis? I'm hearing most Law Enforcement uses Compact. Seems all I hear about with Military lately is Compact. But the G17 is Glock's "flagship" pistol. Do any of you reading this carry a G17, or G22, or other full sized Glock?
Typically, a longer barrel can mean better accuracy, especially at a distance, right? Any bigtime G17 carriers here?
