I got XS Sights installed today and getting my 507c Green installed tomorrow. I may get to run some shots thru her tomorrow!

I might take a second look at it if one turns up in the gun store. I don't have any care for the general idea behind it but I think it might compliment my 45 very well that I really don't use much (for a 17 and a 19).

Ease of manufacture I would presume. It's a Glock 19 frame with a 47 slide, two things Glock already had and is tooled up to make.

I’m thinking a G19 slide will fit the G49 receiver, it wouldn’t with a full dust cover. All about modularity.

I have both a Gen 5 G19 and a G47.

So my 47 slide is on my G19 frame= G49 aka G19 Longslide.

I bought the Gen5 G19 a couple years ago when they first came out. No front serrations. Non MOS. 15 round mags.

When I bought the new G47, WA had a 10 round mag restriction. But now I can carry my “G49” with 15 rounds-

No it's not. If the 19 frame had a 17 length dust cover it would be a completely new frame never made by Glock. So you are WRONG. Just stop typing, you look foolish.

Im basically talking about a 17 with a chopped frame. Again, its only for aesthetics and wouldnt function any differently than a 49.

Having said that, if I were looking for a HD pistol, I'd seriously consider the G49. This would compliment my two CCW G19s, especially when it comes to magazine inventory.

I agree. The gun wouldn't feel any different. Just a little more ass behind the velocity and slightly long sight radius. I think its negligible but I still want one.

I tried to find one today. No one had them. A local has them on order, with the G25 and some new production 17 L run thats coming out.
