i few weeks ago, i picked up a 48 mos in a trade. shot it with the factory 10 rd mags & it was 100% reliable with factory ammo & my reloads. i picked up 2 15rd Pro mags. they were not 100% reliable. took the pro mags apart oiled up slightly & kept them loaded at home with 12 rds each. next time out with, had no issues with them. still cant get 15 rds in them.
i have since put a Holosun 507k on it. while i had an adapter plate, i decided to remove the rear lugs & mount without the plate. zeroing was easy. i am somewhat disappointed with accuracy of the 48. i have a wide assortment of factory & reloaded ammo. none of it shot as good as i was expecting 48 to shoot.
its plenty good enough at self defense distance.
i am undecided as to whether i will carry it with the red dot. I've been shooting for many years. i am simply too slow with the red dot. at self defense distance, i shoot open sights faster & more accurately. i have one of the A500 plates that i shoot at. with lots of practice, i am sure i would improve with the red dot. for now, i will carry one of my other carry guns with open sights.

3 to 3 1/2'' at 15 yards. red dot made no improvement in accuracy. not terrible, but not great either.
Hmm..if that’s benched, yeah I’d be wondering about that. Two hand unsupported, not too bad.

What is a gun you can shoot more accurately?

yes thats benched. i have 5 other 9mm guns. i usually shoot at 20 yards. all of them will shoot better than the 48. this is a self defense gun, so accuracy at close range i good enough. just think accuracy should be better.

I agree.

I've not found my second Glock 48, an MOS I bought in April, to shoot any worse/better than any of my Gen 5 Glocks. Be an idea to call Smyrna and discuss your findings with them.

For me, the inherent accuracy of the gun is fine, it's typically my trigger control and focus on the target that makes a difference. My current best group on a B-8 at 25 yards standing two hand unsupported with range ammo was a 95-2X with my Glock 34, but I had a lot of doo-dads on it at the time.

I shot my 48 MOS+407k this week at 25, resulting in a 7" group, which I attributed to getting used to the curved / ribbed OEM trigger.

Might want to dry fire the 48 with different finger positions on the trigger. I’m more accurate with running my finger almost to the first knuckle with the light weight slimlines.

the trigger safety bar on 48 was terrible. after shooting it first time, my trigger finger was sore. i have since, rounded it off some. no more sore trigger finger.
