Hello, recently purchased Glock 43X MOS for EDC and looking for recommendations for optic. Thank you

RMRcc. Durable and reliable.

get your slide milled for it, grab a torx wrench , VC3 thredlock and use CH Precision backup iron sights. You can buy the optic and slide milling from Glockstore and have it within 10 days of them receiving your slide. Trijicon is still doing a 100 dollar rebate on that optic, just show proof of purchase and have the serial number.

MOS was designed for adapter plates. There is no logical or technical reason to dislike them. The idea is that the owner of the gun has flexibility and a hedge against obsolescence. I made the mistake of milling a G34 slide to accommodate an early RDS. Fast forward four years. The optic eventually failed and the OEM slide is now useless. I do agree the a third party slide may be a better idea than milling the factory slide. Reason being, when you go to sell the gun, nobody wants a kludged pistol that fits an optic that's become obsolete.

BTW: I tried to order a replacement OEM slide and Glock refused my request.

I thought that the slimline MOS cuts were compatible with the RMSc optic. I do know that C&H Precision makes adapter plates that convert the slimline MOS footprint to fit the Holosun 407/507K footprint as I have one in a drawer someplace.

Nope. The OEM Glock Slimline MOS RMSc footprint is closer to the Holosun HS-407/507K-X2 footprint. You need to remove the RMSc rear recoil recoil posts and grind down the front recoil posts in order to directly accept a HS-407/507K-X2. The RMSc footprint modification to directly accept a Trijicon RMRcc is even more involved. You can find a RMSc / RMRcc adapter plate, but to your point ... adapter plates belong in the bottom of a parts drawer. (y)
