Interesting....

And then the Derringer people pop into mind. Those little guns are two rounds? And probably super light
A derringer in your pocket is better than any gun in your safe…

BTW, Obviously I’m not advocating carrying zero bullets… What I’m saying is, the fact that you are armed is the main thing. The number of rounds is hashed over ad infinitum. Clearly, more is better but practicality is a huge part of the deal. For many a small weapon with limited rounds is what their situation dictates.
The gun you will or can carry consistently and comfortably is the best for you.

The gun writer who bashed the newer S&W Bodyguard 2.0 .380 because it has a big U Notch rear sight "making precise 25 yard hits nearly impossible " I'm like my man, it's a micro 380 marketed for people to shoot quickly at sub 10 yards, it's not a combat weapon. He "hates the term bad breath distance " because we can't plan ahead for the range we'll be shooting at

He doesn't understand Marketing.....a micro gun smaller than a Glock 42 is aimed squarely at buyers who want something small and convenient and will not likely even attempt a long shot. Big open sights help people hit at close range

But the "what if I need to hit a Sniper on a rooftop at 50 yards that gun sucks " people fuel these Conceal carry Commando fantasies
Seems to me, that nameless gun writer is completely missing the fact that most violent self defense encounters occur at “bad breath distance”… Most baddies don’t announce their intentions. We can’t go through life at the center of a 42 foot bubble. Shooting everyone who comes within 21 feet is simply not practical.
