Hello all

I just got back from the range shooting my Glock 43, fairly new gun,2nd time I’ve shot It,
I’ve ran into the issue for the first time where I fire the weapon and the gun fires and cycles however it doesn’t cycle all the way in one motion, there is a bit of lag for lack of better terms? Is it my guide rod? I shot my Glock 19 gen 5 and it cycled fine, so I’m skeptical about saying it’s the Ammo, any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Is it brand new, not a gun bought used and is it assembled correctly? Not going all the way into battery?

Persists with another type of ammo? What kind of ammo. A little more details would probably net more definitive answers and suggestions.

You really won't know if it's ammo related if you only use one kind.
Sure, it’s a new gun, brand new blue label bought at the exchange, I’ve fired the weapon once before not an issue, this time I was using armscor ammo, and it delayed going into battery, the round still fired every time though, last time I shot a different type of ammo was not an issue, I **** the same ammo in my Glock 19 and the gun worked fine

I believe you answered your question.

Were you using the following Armscor ammo?:
  • Caliber:9mm
  • Bullet Weight/Type:115 Grain Full Metal Jacket
  • Muzzle Velocity:1097 fps
  • Muzzle Energy:307 ft. lbs.
  • Quantity:50 rds/box
A possible scenario: the G43 being a new handgun could have a "stiff" RSA. Needs more rounds to break it in.

Try some "hotter" ammo and see how it cycles.
Yes that’s the exact one

Hello all thank you for your solutions, I fired the weapon with Winchester ammo and it did the same thing, I sent the pistol back to glock pending repairs, not going to rule out limp writing but I do have quite a bit of experience behind a pistol because of work, however I’m not infallible, I will definitely update you guys once l get a clear answer !
