Yes, stock pistol, and that could definitely be a possibility, the round cycled every time though
Is it brand new, not a gun bought used and is it assembled correctly? Not going all the way into battery?

Persists with another type of ammo? What kind of ammo. A little more details would probably net more definitive answers and suggestions.

You really won't know if it's ammo related if you only use one kind.

I believe you answered your question.

Were you using the following Armscor ammo?:
  • Caliber:9mm
  • Bullet Weight/Type:115 Grain Full Metal Jacket
  • Muzzle Velocity:1097 fps
  • Muzzle Energy:307 ft. lbs.
  • Quantity:50 rds/box
A possible scenario: the G43 being a new handgun could have a "stiff" RSA. Needs more rounds to break it in.

Try some "hotter" ammo and see how it cycles.
That load looks a little on the lighter side.

Most 9mm 115 grain ball has around 1,150 FPS and about 330+ ft lbs of muzzle energy (on the box anyway). I haven't seen too many with much less.
