Yes, I figured they wouldn't make a Gen3 Glock 41 because the 1st models I saw were only in Gen4, so I called Glock and asked if the Glock 41 was going to be Gen4 only and they said yes! Thoughts?

This is what I'm thinking, as well.So the elimination of the. Gen3 begins
I only own 3rd gen Glocks myself, but it only makes sense for Glock to slowly fade them out.I like my Gen-3's...there I wrote it...but that's what I'm suppose to write on a forum...always need the loyal opposition represented...
regrettably I have to fully agree...I think the only reason why they continue to make the Gen-3 is because of Kalifornia and many LE Agencies that have copious amounts of Gen-3 parts...I'm looking to get a G-19 and I'm leaning towards a Gen-4...I only own 3rd gen Glocks myself, but it only makes sense for Glock to slowly fade them out.
^The sooner Glock goes all Gen 4 pistols the better.
See that is why I prefer gen 3. The smoother finish suits close in COW better than the RTF2 finishThe only gen3s I own are RTF2s.
Good! Dumb to have 2 lines of guns that are the same damn thing in reality. Now maybe Glock quality will return & prices will come down a bit.So the elimination of the. Gen3 begins
Dunno, but that's exactly what they did with the 30S. I'm not surprised the 41 is gen4-only. Maybe a tiny bit disappointed. Anyone surprised should go try to find new gen2 Glocks. Older models get discontinuedWhy would Glock make a new model using an old, soon to be discontinued generation. Time to move on people, stop living in the past.
No, the 30S was a just a piece together of 2 guns already in production.Dunno, but that's exactly what they did with the 30S. I'm not surprised the 41 is gen4-only. Maybe a tiny bit disappointed. Anyone surprised should go try to find new gen2 Glocks. Older models get discontinued

Mostly...but mine does say 30S on the side of the slide...not 36. :whistling:No, the 30S was a just a piece together of 2 guns already in production.
Obviously, but my point was they took two guns they already made and put them together. The 41 and 42 are new guns entirely, so it only makes sense they are Gen 4 only.Mostly...but mine does say 30S on the side of the slide...not 36. :whistling:
Weird, I don't know if I'm the only one, but when I carry my gen 3 and gen 4s in a comp tac IWB holster, and I don't really notice a difference.Rough textured frames make a whole lot of sense for the Military, but I find them unnecessarily abrasive for Civilian CCW.
