I finally picked up my Glock Model 40 MOS. I have been waiting for years for Glock to come up with this Gun!! It has always been my idea of the perfect entry/ Special Ops gun. Lat year I picked up another one I have always wanted, the model 41. a long slide 45 auto. After picking up my model 40 and bringing it home I was surprised just how much larger it is. Now, I would like to hear from any other Model 40 owners is what kind of and where did you find a Holster for your Model 40 MOS?

I carry all of my six Glocks in the Sport Combat Holster. Just not all at the same time! I spent much time and money looking for a better owb holster, but prefer the SC. Good luck in your search...,:)

I have a Safariland 5188 paddle holster and a Bladetech for my Model 41 Glock which I like very much. I am hoping that Safariland will come out with one for the Model 40. I am surprised just how much larger the Model 40 is compared to the Model 41. Until I layed them side by side I thought the Model 41 was fairly large, but thanks to the somewhat smaller grip on both their very manageable. Of course another option would be a Yaqui Slide. I have a Galco one that works with both my Model 17 and 41, but the Model 40 is just a little too wide and I don't want to risk stretching the holster.

Just bought a Glock 40 MOS and can't find a holsfer for it.
Any news on availability yet?
If you want kydex these folks are good to go. I got one and the craftsmanship is very good. The issue I have is that it's got no cant. I didn't think to ask as I've always tried to stay with Raven who uses 10 degrees.

I was told at SHOT show by the Galco guys that Galco will make a semi-custom holster for the G40 for $50 plus the price of the original holster. Basically, pick any Galco holster that is made for the G20 and they will customize it for the G40 for $50 more. I'm going to call Galco and find out what my options are. I'd love a fully enclosed muzzle holster for hunting. I will let you know what they say.

Thanks I just ordered one with a 10 degree cant so maybe it won't bang when I sit down.
Hmm... did you order for just the gun without a light? I asked and was told with a weapon light they can't cant the holster which I found most irritating. A thousand other kydex makers will cant a weapon light holster, but they don't make it for the G40.

I asked Bladetech and they said they don't have a mold for it yet, and said it might be a month or so. If you don't mind the barrel sticking out the Black Hawk Serpas for the G-20 work. However, I mounted a Surefire TLR-1 HL on mine, so it is going to be difficult to find a good kydex holster at the moment that can be belt mounted. Also, if you mount a Trijicon RMR, which I have and plan on doing, that adds another level of complexity.

On the bight side, (ironic choice of words), there is a green pop on lense cover in green for busting hogs at night.

Well I ordered mine just a moment ago from:

The owner was really friendly, we spoke on the phone and I told him what I was looking for and what I needed. Here is a couple of weeks I should have my holster. It is being made to accommodate the Surefire TLR-1 HL I have mounted and the Trijicon Suppressor Sights, and Trijicon RMR. He also said he guarantees his work for life which is a nice concept too.

I recently had the slide finished in CPII by CCR, and it looks really nice. I have been waiting on my TIN barrel and flash suppressor from Lonewolf since December. I hope that comes soon.
