Good Day All,
Looking for suggestions for a carry holster for a Glock 37 Gen 3.

I have the Glock Sport and Combat holster but find the muzzle hangs a little lower than I want.

I've used a Comp Tac Infidel IWB with a Glock 31 but found that the muzzle hung a little lower that I would like and was uncomfortable sitting for a long period. Also have used a Desantis Super Fly with the 31 but found that it wanted to "migrate" up when sitting.

So, looking for suggestions for a holster, IWB or OWB, kydex, leather or hybrid, that rides a little higher with a standard size Glock.

I'm in love with the Safariland ALS series. The 63 and 73 series specifically. The 7377 is the belt slide version, the 7378 is the paddle, and 7379 is the fast-on. The 73 series looks more "plastic-y" whereas the 63 series looks more like leather (but it isn't -- it's Kydex).

Check them out. If you've worn a leather rig with a thumb break, you'll find the release to be right where you expect it.

A lot of good holster makers have dropped the 37 from their lineup. Most of what you will find are police duty holsters a lot of which will probably ride lower than what you are wanting. Avoid the cheap crap like the fobus for anything but the range.

SIG357Fan You have a lot of options, no doubt.

I created the below Pancake for just the reason you stated [I think!]

In the photo below I am wearing my Pro-S in the highest ride position. There are two more positions to lower it. Each 1/2 inch lower than the former.

Best of luck to you. Let me know If I can help.

Sig, if you pop it up a little higher and then cant the back of the slide out, you may have a printing issue, in reverse of what most folks have.

Yes. I just started making a few canted for regular customers to try. Including myself. I always knew I could add cant, but was worried it'd make the holster bigger/longer. So far it hasn't had a detrimental effect on them. Sorry I missed the question, still learning how the alerts work.

thanks!

fasteddie565,

not sure I understand what you are saying.

litepath,

thanks of the update.

Sig357fan. Range report. I took my newly built canted Pro-S out and hate it. Switched back to my straight up Pro-S and life is grand. I like wearing mine like in the photo I posted earlier in the thread. I like it to sit high and conceal easy with a simple over-shirt. Canting it fwd. made the draw near unpossible. So, in my mind at least, fwd. cant is a no go, if: It rides high.

The back of the slide would be so far forward, it would print out of the front of your shirt. I think, anyway, Litepath?

Yeah. Agreed. On this type holster it becomes truly difficult to draw canted fwd. if you've got it at highest ride height for most people. If you were say 6'5" then it might be okay to draw from.
And printing. Printing is so very dependent on so many factors. A fwd. cant helps hide a gun from printing typically, but not always. Too far fwd. and the slide prints. While some people experience the butt printing. Smaller chest than hips will cause printing. . .and on and on.

Watching Pat Mac's Carbine TAPS over the weekend, I noticed he uses a similar design, and straight up cant like practically all of my SF Customers.
