Glock 36 or Glock 29?

Okay, so I'm quickly becoming a Glock-O-Holic. I picked up a Glock 27 a couple weeks ago and I love it.

My next will probably be a 36 or a 29 for CC. I like the feel of the 36, however the 10mm round seems superior in terms of firepower.

Which should I get FIRST? :) Any opinions?

Thanks,
Scott

Well I jhave the 36 and love it. Awesome results at the range, never had a single issue with it. It is about 3 months old, and is the best CC gun I have ever owned. Those issues happened years ago and Glock has addressed them. But as always, Good luck in whatever you select.

Those issue did not just happen years ago..They are still happening and Glock hasnt addressed a damn thing..

The problems are NOT long gone..People are still having issues with some of the newer ones..Jesus H.Christ just face the facts that there are still G36 problem childs coming from Glock..Its not the end of the world and those who have great ones have nothing to worry about..
Here we are again... Show some proof that NEW models G36 are having problems. Some are saying 1911's are more reliable. I bet I can show more threads or models of 1911's having more issues than you can for the G36.:wavey:

It would be nice to have a count of how many of these Nay-Sayers owned a 36 or in fact shot one.
I'm thimkin some have, but the gun was just too much for them and they couldn't handle it. Maybe the SO shot it better than they did and they couldn't live with that fact.
You know sour grapes?

:dunno:
Sorry for the Hi-Jack
I'd have to say not many of the nay sayer actually owned one or even have shot one.. If they did I'm sure their tune would change. I have had 2 flawless G36s and I carry one every day and would bet my life on it! But you have to be happy with your choice. If the G36's history makes you uncomfortable then don't get it. But give one a chance before you rule it out completely(not directed at you RAGU,just wanted to add:supergrin:

This was true the last time we had talked but now I have very little but bad experiances with a new 36. A friend just wouldnt listen to me now he has a lemon. He's a CCW/NRA instructor that loves Glocks so he not a new shooter by any means.. His new toy is a jamming Turd..Out of 4 mags I got one flawless mag worth of shooting then it was problems through every mag. I will say it is a very nice shooter and feels great in the hands when it did work..Glock really needs to figure this **** out...

Is it a new model? I do feel bad in that case if it is. I can honestly say I have had 2 my friend just bought one because he fell in love with mine, and I have 3 other friends who own one and they have all been flawless. But it is hard when you get a sour taste in your mouth over a gun. I had paid $1000 for a Kimber and it was a real jammomatic! it was disapointing thats for sure. Hopefully Glock will work it out for your friend!

Do you still have the Kimber? If so did you try differant mags? I know a few guys that had issues with kimbers and one went with Wilsom mags the other went with CMC and both issues are solved..

36. The 10mm is great, but its a rare and expensive round, and with much less of a track record. Stick with 9mm, .40, and .45 ACP, and you'll be glad you did.[/QUOTE
I can get 10mm at a slight cost above 45 or 45 GAP. Considering what 10mm can do and fully documented, 10mm is the way to go. Reloading 10mm and 40 S&W helps.

I've owned my G36 for about a month now. Can someone point me to past threads that lay out (accurately) why it's a POS?

Just curious,
Dennis
Check out the thread"G36 GONE BAD"that will outline the problems I have had with my G36.I decided when I had my problems with mine that to eliminate the chance that the problem was due to anything I was doing,I had another experienced shooter try it.Did the same thing for him as it did for me.:steamed: So,for all you guys who have a G36 that runs, good on ya'!
Play the lottery, you are very lucky!

The build date on my G36 that is on it's way back to the factory was 12/08.At least that's what the date on the envelope of the fired cases said. That may NOT mean the G36 was recent, but I would guess the assembly of the piece was in late 2008,
Just a guess.....
