Glock 27----> What is best grip extender and tape?

I have a Glock 27 that I love, but it jumps out of my hand a bit while shooting. Especially when practicing with warm/hot defense loads. I am in need of one of them slick little grip extenders I guess, although initially I loathed the idea of putting one on this gun.

My right pinkie finger has nowhere to go, just bends under the grip/mag. In the air that is, doing no good. I am wanting a grip extender that gives me a place to put that right pinkie, nothing more. Don't want this to be any more substantial than it has to be.

Heard there is some things you add to your existing mags. Then read here the other day where folks are buying mags for other Glocks (longer mags) and using a little rubber sleeve to go in the gap between the butt of the gun and the end of the new longer mag. Wondering what you guys are using and why.

Also thought adding some grip tape would be of benefit to this gun. Again, not something I ever thought I would add to a Glock. But truthfully, this little gun is jumping out of my hand and I am regripping between some shots. I need to find a way to make this gun fit more securely in my hand. Seems a grip extension and some sand paper type tape/decals are in order.

Thanks for any suggestion or comment.

The grip extensions work well. I have large hands and with the pierce grip extensions (with +.75 capacity-supposed to be +1 but you really really have to work that +1 in there so I say .75). It makes a world of difference on my wife's G27 grip wise. She also added the hogue slip on which make it feel even better IMO adds a little width and more nonslip, and either go right on or off.

Thanks guys. Anyone posting here, feel free to post some pics of your G26 or G27. I have seen very few to date with extended grips, tape, etc..

no mag extensions....learn to live with the pistol the way it came from the factory....

i tried the pearce pg26xl, and one other, cant remember, but they both have a razor sharp edge where the extension and the grip interface...both left me with a blood blister on my pinky....

I carried a g26 with the +2 9mm extension. The handle was as large as that of the compacts. So I sold it and bought a G23. And an LWD 9mm and 357 Sig conversion barrel. No other mods and it shoots sweet.

Thanks guys. Found what I was looking for.

Just ordered the Pearce grip extender (non-plus one type) and Pachmayr rubber slip on grip. Should make the G27 easier to shoot. Especially follow up shots. Thanks.

Stopped the pinky bite and the middle finger rub I use to get from the trigger guard.

And the new Agrip is awesome. Like better than sand/rubber grip tape. It does not bind on pants or shirt when I carry appendix.

BTW the +1 comes with a slide in PLUG on the back that acts as a frame plug you buy to block off the hole in the backstrap.

Should have bought a G23 since you basically want to turn your G27 into G23 now. I have the GAP plate on mine and thats it. I don't see what the big deal is with the pinky under the mag or off to the side.

the +1 extension doesn't increase the length of the back of the grip, meaning the g27/g26 is still more concealable than the g23/g19. that along with the versatility of being able to use the g23/g19 magazines as well (when concealability isn't as big of an issue) makes the g27/g26 a much better choice for EDC imo.

as for the pinky under the mag, it's a preference. i don't like it, so i fix it.

Glock 29 10mm with Camo AGrip, 15 rnd G20 mag, A&G grip extender over mag, and Grams +4 rnd mag base. Got to love 20 rounds of 10mm on tap without a mag change! The longer mag works like a counterbalance and really helps keep the muzzle down, and upon drawing the weapon the grip fits right into your hand down low were it belongs. Very thin, very comfortable, zero "walk" or shift, and it doesn't tear up your skin, clothes, or car seats... and they last for years and years.

Not to offend anyone but why not just get a 23? The grip being shorter is what makes a 27 easier to conceal. Adding an extension brings it up to the 23 size grip. You could get a 23 and have the added benefit of a longer sight radius and not have to fool with mag add ons. Just curious.
