Been carrying a Glock 26 for some time now and while I always have a small handheld light on me I've recently been realizing the need for a WML. I often times find a possum or Fox trying to get into the chicken coup at night and all I have on me is my EDC and hand held light. Because I usually dont have a lot of time to take the shot and I cant get too close for fear of chasing off the critter having a WML will make taking the shot a lot easier. Also obviously for all the tactical reasons that having a WML is great too.

Since there aren't a lot of options for the G26 of course I wound up at the TLR-6. I was originally turned off to this model because I dont like lasers but once I realized they made a model without the laser, it was a no brainer. So last night I ordered a TLR6 without laser, a Priority 1 IWB holster, and a pack of spare batteries.

The package will be here on Tuesday and I'm excited to try it out and give yall a range report.

I just wish the TLR6 had a bit more power behind it. 100 lumens isn't bad, but 2k candela is pretty floody. I'd rather see 60 lumens at 3.5k-4k or so candela. People think it's all about lumens. The TLR6 is still useful for most of what any person will use it for.

Glock really needs to put a rail on the sub compacts I think you could fit a TLR7 on them with the right adapter.

I do wish Streamlight would standardize their user interface. I think the paddles on the TLR1 series is pretty good. I don't mind the 7/8 switches/UI, but they need to be the same so you can more easily interchange between them under stress.

Well the whole setup came in today and I'm really liking it. I went out back and tested it and it is 40 yards to the wood line and I had no issues lighting up everything to that point. All in all I'm very happy.

I noticed you have a Fenix E12 in there. I really like Fenix lights. However, you may want to check out the Jetbeam SF-aa01. It’s a AA/14500 light that puts out 700 lumens/5000 candela with a 14500. It gets hot for sure and the user interface isn’t as tactical as could be, but it’s on sale on Illumn.com for $15 right now and a 14500 battery will set you back another $10. Worth giving it a try. Only thing I had an issue with was the pocket clip broke after a year of use. Got caught on something and the metal snapped. Light is gtg though.
