My G26 is my second most carried gun, right after my G19. I carry the 26 when printing is more of a concern. I carry the 26 in a bravo concealment torsion holster. I tried the G43 for a while, but my draw times and split times were noticeably better with the G26, so I put up with the increase in size for the better shootability.

 

My wife switched to the Glock 26 in Dec 2006, its been her EDC gun since then. Carried daily in a FIST ultra thin IWB holster (K6 option - split leather loops). She also has a Kramer horsehide belt scabbard for OWB use.

I am down to only 1 Glock at this point in time (owned 50+ over the years) and its is a Gen 3 grip reduction/stippled 26. Don't carry it much (my EDC is a Shadow Systems MR918) but I'll keep the 26 for now (I actually sold it a while back, only to buy it back 10 days later ).

I have assorted holsters for it, a Kramer horsehide OWB belt scabbard, a Comp Tac CTAC, a Crossbreeds Supertuck, a Kramer horsehide IWB, a CYA kydex IWB, and a couple of other kydex holsters. All work for me, I actually like the Supertuck - I found it in a used holster bin and only paid $20 for it.

The 26 is not going to go away. Go with a 12rd.mag and it's 1of the best carry pistols we have.

 

The G26 is on of my carry guns. Depending on what I'm wearing, but many days it goes to the farm with me.

 

One of my sons routinely carries a G26 and my other son has occasionally carried one. I don't know what brand of holster, though.

I like and need something slimmer and smaller when I carry, and I like M&Ps, but that's just me.

The G26s still seem to be popular and excellent EDC pistols.

 

It is situational.

Sometimes, when I walk around the block, the J-Frame goes with me.

Other times, it is the G26.

 

As good as the G26 and being my favorite Glock model, with my 9mm's, it's the last 9mm I will carry. I also carry my XDs 45 before the G26.
However, in cool weather with flannel shirt or jacket, the G26 is outside carried at times.

 

While the 26 is a good pistol I wonder who still buys one instead of a p365. The 43x is also an easier to conceal pistol in some ways due to it’s width

Well, having shot both (a bit now) - if "shootability" is your priority, the 26 wins. If having a "little bitty" gun is your priority - then the 365 gets the nod.

Not everyone wants a little gun.

 

I still do. Full size fire control parts from a military and police tested and proven design. No ricky dink Indian MIM parts. No fully cocked striker. Less ammunition dependent than the smaller quicker-cycling slides. There is more than just size involved in a total package carry gun.

 

Take the light off your 43X. Put a small hand held in your front pocket.

 

Yes—for warmer weather and with a standard 10 round mag.

I can shoot it arguably as well as the 19 I carry in colder weather.

In both cases, IWB Tulster at 4 o’clock and a G17 mag weak side.

 

Yep, gen 4 with a vortex viper on top, tlr6, and a 12rd mag. Tried to sell it since i liked my axg better but USPS lost that module and slide on the way to cerakote so im back to the 26.

 

My thought is that if I’m going to be carrying a chonk of a double stack it’s not anymore difficult to just carry my 19.

 

Can you pocket carry the 19 or put it on your ankle???

 

If your main criteria is comfort, especially AIWB, the 43X without the light will likely be more comfortable than the G26.

For myself, I have a G19 and a G26. I stayed with the G19, both OWB and IWB (but not AIWB) carry. Tauris Holsters.

 

I have two G26s that find their way into my carry rotation from time to time, but I have found that the longer slide length of the G19 equates to better concealability for me.

With the 12rd mags in the G26, the grip dimensions aren't much smaller than the G19 except the final inch or so of the back strap. The longer slide on a G19 hits my hip bone and sucks the grip in tighter to my side and prints less on me.

 

I carry a 26 everyday that I am awake. I like the slide type holsters so any 9mm glock will fit. I want the ability to caryy a 19 when I want with the same set up. I have a leather holster from IHL that I love. Currently I am carrying a belt and holster from crossbreed. I use the snap slide I believe it is called. Infact I do believe I order my holsters for a 19 even though I carry a 26.

 

Are there days when you aren't awake?

 

MY EDC is the Glock 33...same package, different caliber. I carry it very comfortably every day IWB at 3 o'clock in a Comp-Tac Infidel Ultra Max. By FAR the most comfortable, all around best holster I've ever had for IWB

 

If I can conceal a G29 and a G23, then a G26 isn’t too big

 

I've never liked the G26 or the G27. They're just too thick and chunky for comfortable or concealable IWB all day carry. The G43 is better and 6+1 rounds is better than a 5 round J-frame but If Glock made reliable factory OEM extended magazines that could be carried as spares that would be better.

 

I still carry my G26, and likely always will. On duty it's usually my G30S, sometimes my G26 (plain clothed). Off duty it's almost always my G26.

I have smaller guns, Hellcat, Shield, XDS.... and they are excellent little CC guns. But the G26 is small enough and shoots as good as any full sized gun I have.

 

Still carry a G26. Made a few mods (like an RMR) and it’s perfect. Probably my last carry pistol.

 

Daily until cold weather hits.. Then I move up to something more...I really wish they'd bring the 26 MOS over to the states...

 

I like the G26 with a +2 extension the same way I love a G19x or a G45. The combo of a longer grip with a shorter slide just works so well for me.

 

Ive never thought about this. I dont carry a 26 exclusively. I do carry one often. I have not thought about the 26 with extensions being similar to the 19x and 45. I carry without an extension but may give them a try

 

How can you not like a gun that's all but impossible to miss with. I've tried the 43X and liked it, tried the P365XL and found it to be a decent gun but just didn't jell with it. I've owned and tried just about everything my budget would allow, but the 26 is what I carry. It's comfortable to carry, I shoot it better than most anything I've tried in the past, and I just can't find a reason to carry anything else. As far as a holster, there have been a number, but the one I use right now is the Glock Sport/combat holster. IWB, I go with either the DeSantis Cozy Partner or an Alien Gear Shape Shift.

 

I have a 26 and I've used it many times in classes, but I've never carried it. I did carry its .40 caliber Glock 27 cousin for some time though.
