I have a TLR-6 for both both my G26 and G43. They are 100 lumens and are bright enough in my house, where the longest shot would be 10 yards.
When I had a G26 I also had the TLR-6. Have them for my P365X and XL as well. They have been good WML and 100 lumens is plenty. I did a review a while back and I could clearly make out a man-sized target at 25ish yards. Plenty of distance for most realistic SD incidents.

From April 14, 2021 when my house was being built:

Some beam shots I took tonight out at the property with the P365XL w/TLR-6.

I was standing to the right of a 25 foot wide space between houses. The black tarp in the distance is about 100 feet away, perhaps just a tad more. The end of the house is about 77 feet distance from where I was standing. This was about 9:15 tonight and it was very dark without the WML activated. Dark enough that you would not have seen someone towards the back of the house.

This is standing just in front of where my front doors are going to be. The back of the lanai is about 75+ feet away. Again, the black tarp beyond is a tad over 100 feet away. I would have easily seen someone clearly standing on the lanai. So that would be a 25 yard shot to the lanai and perhaps a 35 yard shot to the end of the backyard give or take a foot or so. In person it is clearer as this was taken on a cell phone. I would have easily been able to identify a man sized target in the backyard.

One of the hallways in the house. Distance to the back wall is about 33 feet give or take a foot.

For only being 100 lumens, I feel the TLR-6 is more than sufficient for most likely scenarios. I feel I'd have no issue identifying a target out to 35 yards. With the XL I know I would have no issue hitting a target at this distance. I've done so in matches with the shorter barreled P365 in dim light conditions. So while a brighter light would be nice and could have it's uses, I think the TLR-6 is a good light for it's size, run time and lumen output. Although I'm sure it could happen, it's hard to imagine a SD scenario where one would need to take a shot at a distance longer than this light is capable of reaching. It's also worth noting that I could easily and clearly see the night sights with the TLR-6 activated.

You ought to patent that review and sell it to Streamlight

I've mainly bought, been-issued, used Surefire or Streamlight.
I've preferred handheld lights with 2 CR123 batteries.

Possibly affordable is a Surefire:

Streamlight:

Lately, however, I've been carrying a Streamlight which uses either a single AA or CR123 battery.

I've got more flashlights than I can carry, even a vintage 3-cell cr123 "Laser Products" flashlight (when they were changing to the Surefire brand name). Now that I've said it, I don't remember where I put it...!

I do really like my G26 guns (a Gen3 and a Gen5).

I own one of the Recover Tactical frame rail adapters and an Olight Mini Valkyrie PL-2. The only problem is that it's not a quick process to mount it and remove it, so one of my G26s could easily be dedicated to it if I desired.

Another thought: I've often considered a high-lumen WML (550+) to be a weapon in its own right. I think if I were defending my home from a person in the house I could blind that intruder with a burst of bright light ... disorienting them long enough to ascertain if they are armed before changing position and deciding whether or not to shoot. The only problem is that the same burst of light against light-colored walls can also destroy my own night vision, so I'd have to remember to keep one eye closed.

Ive got both lights L-2 mentioned. They are both bright enough. Reliable, dont break the bank, quality products. One feature I really like on the one flash light is it takes different batterys, which is a really cool feature. Both are bright enough, but not too bright. And yet you dont get blinded by reflection from mirrors or glass.

TLR-6 is just fine. Those saying it is garbage or flimsy don't understand it wasn't designed to breach a door with; it's not a TLR-1HL. If you're getting so close with a CCW gun that it might get banged around in a fight, well, you've done plenty of things wrong or poorly leading to that point.

It works well enough for some limited guns, like the 43 or 26. I have one on the Shield Plus from time to time for travel and it's fine. Don't overtorque those tiny screws.

ETA: Always have a handheld on your person. My choice is the rechargeable Streamlight Microstream. A little larger than the size of a chapstick tube and 250 lumens. Not bad at all.
