Glock 23 vs. Glock 32 SLIDES

Are all SLIDE dimensions identical re Glock 23 and 32?

Will a G32 bbl be perfectly compatible in a G23 slide?

Asking because of some confusion whether a conversion bbl in the true sense is needed in shooting a 357Sig caliber bbl in a G23 or one can use a dedicated bbl for the 32.

Thanks in advance.

Hurley- part of my confusion stems via offerings from Storm Lake barrels. One is apparently a conversion barrel and the other is dedicated to the Glock 32. There was no mention in the latter re compatibility with a Glock 23 slide.

They do, apparently, offer the 'conversion barrel' at additional cost over the Glock 32 dedicated barrel. Makes one wonder whether marketing ploy, whatever.

An OEM Gen3 G23 is every part identical to an OEM Gen3 G32 except:
1. Barrel
2. Rear Sight Elevation (G23->6.5mm, G32->6.9mm)
3. Model/Caliber marking on left side of slide.

An OEM Gen4 G23 is every part identical to an OEM Gen4 G32 except:
1. Barrel
2. Rear Sight Elevation (G23->6.5mm, G32->6.9mm)
3. Model/Caliber marking on left side of slide.
4. Ejector. G23 uses 28926, G32 uses 30499.

All generations of G23 and G32 barrels will interchange.

A Gen4 G23/G32 slide will not fit on a Gen3 frame.

Use of a G32 barrel in a Gen2 G23 is sanctioned ONLY if the Gen2 G23 frame is serial CPU###US (March 1998) or later.

Well, are the bbl EXTERNAL Measurements identical OEM G23 vs. G32?
Absolutely identical for the OEM barrels and slides.

The only folks that can address aftermarket issues and claims are the aftermarketers. I have no idea what game Storm Lake is playing.

Was hoping you'd share your standard 40/357 compatibility post, you are the most informative when it comes to that topic. Now to finally drop the ball on a G33 barrel for my Gen3 G27.

Doesn't the Gen4 23 use a 17 lb spring like the 19? I know the 32 comes with an 18 lb.

If Glock was offering a PERFCT product I would expect marketing to support it. I’ve seen tongue in cheek and side bar suggestions of such.

I’ve seen explanation by Glocktalkers along with their Aftermarket friends in suggesting Perfection and Flawless operation.

If the above answers your question in the positive and you feel no additional time or expense will be expended, I expect you will proceed.

No.

"Every part" includes the RSA 7815. A Gen4 G19 uses RSA 8703.

Thanks for all the help.

Purchased AlphaWolf barrel today from an eBay seller. It was listed as "AlphaWolf Barrel For Glock 32 357 Sig Stock Length AW-32357N" and I had ordered the last one to use in my G23.3.

Previously with the Lone Wolf website I had had difficulty with their checkout process and this time I made them aware of it. A frustrating experience with checkout but their CS is otherwise very good. It's the checkout process that's the PITA, at least for me, presently, so I ended up purchasing the same item from another vendor.

Yes, well, I called them today at sales and learned that Glock had closed early due to the holiday. I just got tired of spending more time regarding this matter and wanted to be done with it.

The OEM would have been my first choice but after spending considerable time on the internet frustrated with various sellers on eBay and with Lone Wolf and having to call Glock and wait further and do all the jump through the hoops I just said screw it I just lost patience.

Little doubt someone here will say what a terrible purchase I had made with the AlphaWolf ! Haha .

Then again, maybe not!

If I only knew how to insert the 'beating a dead horse' gif...
Justamessenger- could you clarify your point and your opinion re Mr Meeseeks post, above?

Is it beating a dead horse where it is suggested too many times to go OEM? or

Do you disagree with the statement that the best one is OEM? or

Putting aside the standard rifling of the Alpha vs. polygonal of the OEM does it not really matter if one chooses AlphaWolf or OEM?

or...?

Will the OEM RSA in the G23.3 'function okay' with a 357 Sig bbl?

Or, asked in a different manner, are the RSAs identical in the G32.3 vs. the G23.3?

I now see on the package that contains a spare RSA I had purchased from Brownell's that G19, 23, and 32 all use the same RSA.
