Glock 22 gen 2 worth buying?

Hello,

there is this G22 gen 2 for sale in my area. Under 1k rounds fired, looks like it's in nice condition, but has no tupperware, it's only the pistol and two mags.
Seller won't go under 710$, (I don't live in the US so for comparison, retail prices for G22 gen3 here is 761$, gen4 is 815$ and gen5 FS is 890$).
I really like gen 2's, but also don't want to buy something if I don't know it's value. I am looking at this from the collection/investment standpoint. Is it worth the money(basically 90-95% of new gun) just because it's gen 2? Could the price appreciate over like 10 years or is this model not that desirable?
I have only these two photos, the serial number looks like CLK but I'm not sure.
Thank you in advance.

Should buy because it has collector value or will appreciate significantly? I would say no, there were a lot of Gen2 G22s made. It would take something special to demand a premium price. However, if you want a Gen2 in your collection and aren't concerned about future value being higher than a normal Gen2 . . . why not? It would just depend on the used market - do most used guns sell that close to new where you live?

Most used guns go for like 70-90% of their retail value depending on the model, unless it's something desirable(I'm from Czech Republic and vz58s go over their market value, being out of stock all the time)
Without the tupperware I'm hesitant to pay that much for a non-complete piece.

I would value it as an ordinary used Glock. Pre-covid these could be had for under $300US (more finish wear) because the .40 became less popular when the FBI switched to 9mm. A LOT of law enforcement departments also switched so our market became flooded with G22s. During COVID the .40 seems to have gained some popularity again but I've noticed recently that used G22s are now selling for less than 17s again.

Glogdog welcome to the forum and excellent job on providing us with pics in order to effectively help you.

The biggest issue with assessing that handgun in actual value is no active member here knows your market. That plays way too significant of a issue to not take into account.
As you are already reading that model is not considered sought after here in the US market. So if you are buying for future sales here in the US than it would not be a solid purchase.
Without knowing what that model has sold for in your area US evaluations would be inaccurate.

That could be a excellent purchase/investment for your Country.

If you choose to purchase it I offer to help you complete it since your focus is on collecting it. As long as no laws are violated I would get you the needed items from EBay. You pay actual costs of those items along with postage to mail it to you.

I know I would appreciate a offer like this if I was looking to complete something where those items are plentiful.

I'm quite new into the guns, from Czech Republic. From observing the market, Glock 17 gen2s always sell within a day or two, for around 75% of the new Glock 17 values.(I bought mine for 564$ and there was another buyer interested). Glock 19 gen 2s would sell at similar prices, but nobody would buy them for over 700$. This is the first time in 6 months I've seen G22 gen2 for sale, that's why I'm unsure.

That is very kind of you, thank you.
I'm gonna rethink the purchase. As much as I don't like to pay extra, especially for non-complete gun, I just really like the gen 2s.

Ok, I'll ask. Where are you from? And where are you attempting to purchase this firearm? It will help with understanding your situation.
I am from Czech Republic. The offer popped up on on the biggest website for used guns we have here.

While the gun you speak of is not a Collectable yet. It may be one day. In the meantime, the Glock will probably will never fall below the purchase price. It will be a great investment in the future. I have several guns. That I have purchased that have doubled or tripled on the purchase price. So, it's a winner if you ask me.
