Is there someplace where I can find out which generation I have? It has the finger groove frame but doesn't have the accessory rail.

Generations are based on the G-17. You have a Gen 2.5

The ideal G21 would be either a Gen 3 G21SF or a Gen 4 without the finger grooves. Maybe Glock will make a Gen 5 without the half moon magazine cut-out.

I just got a police g21 SF... i have not fired it yet. I am not a fan of gen 3 or gen 4 based on the grip grooves
