So I'm kind of new to the world of suppressors. Its something I plan on getting more into later on in the future when the funding for quality cans is more available. BUT!!!.. for right now, I've been looking in getting some of my firearms ready for suppressors just for one less thing to do when the time comes... one of those firearms being my G19X (obviously). So basically, I have not chosen my suppressor for this particular pistol and am curious if there is a specific thread I should get? is there one more common than another or is there one size fits all deal?

NOW! I also want to be able to attach a compensator for the time being since a suppressor would come later. Something kind flashy like the PMM compensator (website url below ). the thread for this is 1/2-28 and im not even sure if a barrel fit for this particular compensator would even allow for a suppressor (the full specs are on the website). I don't mind the extra length due to the already short slide length of the 19x... and honestly, its more just to have something on the gun for the time being that isn't an eyesore. I kind of doubt the effectiveness and/or necessity of one of these on a 9mm pistol... ‍♀

What do you guys think? what would be a good start? What would be a good threaded barrel to fit these needs? I know I have quite a bit of research to do, but I thought I'd start here. You guys never let me down!

Each caliber has a typical thread pattern. 1/2x28 is common for 9mm and 5.56.

Since you are new to suppressors, I will just give you the FYI that the spring loaded Nielsen device in the suppressor makes rapid fire with a tilting barrel handgun unwieldy. You basically have a long weight with a spring bouncing around.

I prefer suppressors on fixed barrel firearms. The Maxim 9 is way more shootable instead of a Glock with suppressor.

You could get an Aurora II, but I don’t recommend it.

1/2-28 is pretty much the standard for 9mm and .22 LR.

All sales from Glock's sales site are currently suspended because of virus BS and every item shows as unavailable. It is also out of stock even if the store were selling merchandise. It would be worth the wait until its available again.
