I went with basic Arotek white dot steel sights on my 19.4. They're about $60 and come with a front sight tool if you didn't already have one. Best of all, you don't need a pusher to install them as they use set screws in the rear, just a bit of loctite on the front and rear screws and they have held up fine.

My 43X I picked up a couple of months ago is still using the stock polymer sights. I haven't been in any real hurry to replace them yet, so I'm also not sure what I'll put on them. Likely some type of night sight as it is my carry gun.

What combination (night sights or plain, 3-dots, I-Dot, contrasting colour front/rear, black rear sight, etc...) do you prefer? It seems sights are one of those things that are personal to the user/their eyes.

And once you settle on a brand/model, it does make sense to keep that as "standard" on all your CCW/SD/HD pistols.

OEM Glock night sights and Ameriglo sights are reasonably priced.

I'm not a fan of the stock white "U" & dot and prefer plain black with a 6 O'clock hold. I'm using a RDS on my EDC so no glowing dot sights on it, nothing to distract from the RDS sight picture.

the simplest way for me to get my sight set up as I like is to keep an assortment of the different rear sight heights from Glock so I can adjust to my point of aim, then I'll blacken the white "U" & dot with a sharpie.

for the rear sight on my 43 X MOS, I used the stock Glock sights for the standard width slide to get the bottom of the rear notch just above the bottom edge of the RDS window, then filed approx. 0.100 off each side to fit the smaller slide of the 43X, then broke out the black sharpie and blacked out al the white I had exposed during filling.

for the front sight on my 43X MOS, I used the sight that came with it but made a washer out of a inner tube to raise it up about 0.100 and made it some what adjustable by tightening/loosening the front sight screw.

once I was on paper at 10 yards and knew how low point of impact was from point of aim I used Dawson Precision's sight calculator to determine front sight height and purchased a standard all black front sight at that height from them.

end result is a set of BUIS with minimum display in the RDS window that shoot to the same point of aim as the RDS.

I just picked up a G45 with Ameriglo Bold. All my other Glocks have GNS except my G43 which has factory sights.

Haven't shot the G45 yet, but...Damn, they look pretty good. My eyes aren't what they used to be, so hopefully these help.

I too love the Ameriglo sights. I had previously purchased Truglo TFX Pro sights for my 43x and was wholly disappointed. So I purchased one of the Ameriglo Protector sight packages for $60 and can tell you that it has the brightest front sight in all conditions I've seen. I recommend the green (even though I've always preferred an orange front). The set that I bought was this one Ameriglo Protector Sights . This version has an extended rear sight, which lengthens the front/rear sight distance a bit, which is good for a 43x. The rear is blacked out, but that doesn't mean you can't add dots yourself if you're handy. There are two versions of the Protector sights, one with extended rear and the other without, but with a U shape. Both $60 on Amazon.

FWIW I kept the Truglo rear because it just worked with the front sight and the vertical POI was perfect keeping the Truglo rear and I saw no point with hasseling with that swap. I prefer a figure 8 dot pattern so just added my own center dot made from a phosfluorescent sticker, secured with nail polish. Just pointing that out if a blacked out rear isn't your thing. I was a fool to spend so much on the TFX Pros when i could get better sights at half the cost.

I tried the Glock OEM night sights on my 43x and quickly realized that I didn't care for them. Something about the rear white dots really messed with my sight picture. I switched to Trijicon HD's and I'm 100% pleased. I recently upgraded my G19 sights to a set of the HD XR's. They are a bit higher than most, but they are worth it. Keep watching for them on Midway. They usually have them on sale.

Are the ameriglo protector sights the same height as the stock Glock sights on the 43x mos. I'm lookin for a sight set that is a bit taller than stock? I do like the ameriglo.

I don't know if you're interested, but I have a Truglo TFX front that I'm not using that I could part with for a friendly price. I kept the rear of the set and replaced it with the Ameriglo. The Truglo front has both tritium and fiber optic. The set was $112. If you're interested make me an offer. For whatever reason the the Protector front with the Truglo rear was shooting low as confirmed with a laser sight that was dead on so I just left the Truglo rear on and have a "hyrid set" installed which works great for me now. I still have the Ameriglo rear (blackout w/rear extension) too as I saw no need to install it.

With my old eyes (83) I tried different Ameriglo setups but had trouble with all of them in dark conditions . All with tritium inserts both 3 dot , dot front/ bar rear and dot front / I rear but none suited me .
I have settled on XS Sights # DXT2 Standard Dot Green . They are dot the eye style .
I can see them much better in light and dark conditions .
