I have someone who wants to trade me a "mind condition" Glock 30 Gen 2. Just wondering if anyone here can fill me in on what this pistol is worth (ballpark estimate) and if the Gen 2's were a good run?

To the best of my knowledge, the Glock 30 was a gen3 when it first came to the market. I've seen "gen 2.5" versions of the Glock 21, but not the 30.

(Gen 2.5 meaning finger groves and no light rail.)

I think you will find it is a gen 2.5. It has finger grooves like a gen 3 but no rail.

No problems with these and nothing special about them so they are worth what any glock in the same condition is worth.
Good condition with Tupperware box and all contents, I would say its worth $400-$475.

This is what people commonly call the gen 2.5. Notice no rail. I dont think Glock calls it a gen 2.5 and they would call it a gen 3.

Great guns, I would say $450-$475 its in good shape, depends on how many mags, etc. those Pearce base plates that add the third finger groove are awesome, they are about $10/each to.

Buy it, you'll love it. G30 has been my daily carry gun for 6 years.

I bought one brand new in 2002. I "modernized" it a bit with a tungsten guide rod, and a LCI extractor,and extended slide release. I put Trijicon night sights on it about a year ago. LGS offered me $350 for it about 9 months ago. Needless to say I still have it. If (when Obama, Holder and Feinstein join the NRA) I were to sell, I would not take less than $500. Original tupperware, papers, the 2 original 10 round magazines, plus 3 spare 10 round magazines included.

Before Sandy Hook I would have said what some of these other guys are saying; $475.00- Now however you may have noticed in many places new Glocks retail price has increased $75.00 to $100.00 and accordingly, so have the used Glocks.-$475.00 is fair but the guy could get $550.00 now based on what I've seen to this point.

I bought mine new for 495 back in 92 if I remember correctly as the price tag is on the box h I have everything it came with books & all.

I bought a G30.3 at GT Distributors in 2021 for $329, no box but it came with 2 mags. I use mine as a truck gun and keep a couple of G21 mags in the console. I am not sure of the real value, but I saw one at an LGS that was priced with the box 1 mag but rough looking at $355.00
