Im wondering what generation the 43X is considered or which gen it is closest to with regard to a full disassembly. When I removed the trigger assembly, if I’m not mistaken, it seemed the same or very close to my Gen5-19 when I replaced that one.

Technically I guess, it has no generation and is simply a 43X, but would a schematic of a full breakdown follow gen. 5 models?

Maybe this has been addressed somewhere but I couldn’t find it so thought I would ask.

Thanks

The mechanism of the G42 and the G43 is almost identical to that used in the later Gen5 models, but a little smaller and no ambidextrous Slide Stop Lever. The barrel rifling is the same as well. But they are not called Gen5 models.

The latest Glock Owner's Manual applies to all models and may be downloaded here:

It has exploded parts diagrams for the Gen4 G17, the Gen5 G17, and the G42. The diagram for the G42 may be used for the G43.

All is said above the 43x in my view is a Gen 5 without the ambidextrous slide stop and I'm thankful it does not have that, a slim carry gun doesn't need that extra width and hard edges.

It's a Gen 5, both the 43Xand 48, it also has the marksmen barrel, the only thing it lacks is the ambi slide stop, only because there wasn't enough room to place it in the smaller frame...this is from Glock...

And from the Glock website... the G43X & G48 are listed under the Gen5 heading while the G43 is not:
