People with Gen 5 Glocks, could you report how many rounds you've shot through your Gen 5s and how many stoppages you've had? I'm specifically interested in owners who have over 3000 rounds through an individual gun.
So far I'm at a mere 300 with no stoppages in the Gen 5 I bought last week. Just interested in the long term reliability and durability of the gun since it hasn't been out that long. Some people I see say they have over 10k without a single issue, and then others say their trigger gets sticky or the plating on the trigger bar starts flaking off after a few thousand rounds. Overall, though, I don't see much documentation of high round counts through Gen 5s, and I wonder how it stacks up to previous gens.
I've had many types of pistols including Gen 3 and 4 Glocks that've developed problems AFTER passing the 3000 round mark, even after being completely disassembled and cleaned. I also have a 2005 made Gen 3 17 that's never had a single part replaced chugging along fine after 14k, which any non-Glock pistol I've had has never matched without anything breaking.
