One of the talking heads on You Tube, claims the new right side slide lock cut out in the frame appears hacked out. Claims each one he looked at appears different. Can anybody confirm that? In GlockenSpecht first pic, it appears that way, not sure though.

Here is a close up look at the frame on each side with the slide stop lever listed up...you can see a little "tab" of polymer on the right side. I think this is where Glock stores secret data gathering technology.

Impossible. Glock manufactures thousands of these a day. It's a molding machine than injects the polymer around the metal inserts. Happened to see a video of it being done in the advanced armorers course. Just doesn't make any sense from a manufactures point of view. Just think about how long it would take to modify each individual frame.

What are "MIM" parts?

Metal Injectin Molding. Combination of metal and plastic. Parts can be made to much higher
tolerances. Also, cheaper to manufacture.

Could also mean Made In Mexico


To me the Gen 5's just another model for Glock to sell ,I prefer the Gen 3 model myself. The Gen 5 models are geared to people wanting what other companies were offering . I don't believe the early Glocks can be improved on ,if bought for their intended use.
