Can anyone tell me if a Gen 3 G21 slide will work on a Gen 4 G20/21/41 frame? I'm looking at an AM G21 slide that's the same length as a G41 but it specifies for Gen 3.

What if I get the slide with all the internals that go with a Gen 3? Will that go on the Gen 4 frame with no other changes? They do. You'll need a recoil spring boss or washer and a Gen 3 G20/G21 RSA.
You'll still have a gap or clearance in the frame from the smaller boss of the Gen 3 slide.
The standard sized 17/22 and so on have adaptors for this. Not sure if they're made or fitted for large frames.
Yeah. You can take a Gen 3 slide and attach it straight to a Gen 4 frame. What if I get the slide with all the internals that go with a Gen 3? Will that go on the Gen 4 frame with no other changes?
But... Nevermind what I said here. You'll need a recoil spring boss or washer and a Gen 3 G20/G21 RSA.
Thanks. What RSA should I use...Gen 3 or 4? I think I've read if you use a Gen 4 RSA in a Gen 3, you have to use a washer, or is it the other way around?A complete Gen 3 slide works just fine on a Gen 4 frame. In fact the only differences is the recoil spring assembly between the two and the nose of the slide. You don't have to use the Gen 3 to Gen 4 slide adaptor but you will have a gap up front if you don't. That gap will not effect function, it just looks ugly.
It is the other way around. If you use a Gen 3 RSA in a Gen 4 slide, then you need an adaptor.hanks. What RSA should I use...Gen 3 or 4? I think I've read if you use a Gen 4 RSA in a Gen 3, you have to use a washer, or is it the other way around?
So all Gen 3 upper with the gap adapter. Got it. Too bad there's no 21L to 10mm conversion barrel. It'd be a great way to have 3 guns in one since I'm using a 41 frame. It is the other way around. If you use a Gen 3 RSA in a Gen 4 slide, then you need an adaptor.
You will not need a RSA adaptor if you use a complete Gen 3 slide. And the Gen 4/5 RSA will not work in a Gen 3 slide at all so stick with the Gen 3 RSA.
