I've had a G43 Talo for a couple years and been fighting the urge to buy a G48. I finally pulled the trigger on a G48 yesterday. I've never replaced factory sights on a Glock but would like to do so on this G48. I'm not sure whether to go with a fiber optic or a night sight or a hybrid. I'm old and rarely get out at night so kind of lean towards a nice fiber optic for daylight shooting. However I've noticed FO's do not work very well on my 1911 at the indoor range. Any suggestions?

Glock OEM, if your G48 is a weapon (in spite of its costume jewelry appearance) and not just a range toy.

People like the Truglo TFX
It's fiber optic, but lit by tritium.

My G48 came with AmeriGlo Bold sights. This is the first time I bought a Glock with them already installed and I really like them so far. I put a set of TFX Pro sights on my G43 and I like them better than the Trijicon HD sights I’ve been using for years on all my other pistols. Anything is an improvement on the factory plastic sights.

I’ve tried the AmeriGlo orange sights & XS Big Dot Yellow’s on my 48.

I don’t recommend the AmeriGlo if you’re not picking up fiber optic sights at the range. I found them really hard to see.

I really like my Big Dots. A lot. Moreover, if you have a flashlight, you can charge the dot and it’ll light up as bright as a lighthouse. I’ve used Big Dots for a long time and am really comfortable with them. They are impossible to lose. Have a look at the picture - that’s not charged. But the whole thing glows if charged.

I really think the TruGlo’s would be great but... your range probably isn’t conducive.

Good luck

I'm liking the Trijicon HD with the Yellow/Green front. Front stands out extremely well and for me, the Yellow is more prominent than the Orange/Red. Very well lit vials for night time also.

TRUGLO TFX PRO, the best day/night sights out there, they cost more but are worth it, I now have them on seven of my guns and highly recommend them...

Heinie Straight Eight night sights and Warren Tactical two dot vertical night sights are the two aftermarket iron sights I like to use on my Glock pistols.

Glock OEM night sights not just because they are inexpensive but because they sit low and the white dots are sealed up so you don't have to worry about them turning yellow after oil and solvents gets to them. Also the tritium vials they use are very bright and the the white dots are big enough and white enough to be seen in day time well. I've use just about every night sight on the market and I'm convinced these are overall the best sights when everything is taken into consideration.
