Ordered a Glock 44 today and a Glock threaded barrel. I will have to jump thru whatever Texas wants to get my license for ownership of a suppressor but my question is what do you guys think of this combination?
Should it be a quite .22lr?
Wold anyone recommend a suppressor?

Get a .223 suppressor and it will do double duty if you have any .223's lying about that need quieting down.

man, thats about the WORST thing you can do and all suppresser manufactures state to NOT do this. it will void your warranty.

.22 LR ammo burns very dirty and will fill up a suppressor quick with lead that can't be cleaned out. all .22 LR suppressors will disassemble for this reason to clean them out.

when shooting 5.56 or 7.62 the pressure is so great it will blow a threaded suppressor apart. for this reason most big bore suppressors are one piece units welded together. they also rarely need to be cleaned.

Hasn’t been a problem with mine. I use an ultrasonic cleaner and Ed’s Red after every brick or so of .22. I also shoot self cast lead in .223.

I think the Ruger MK series is a better overall suppressor host but the g44 should be ok. My m&p22c was a decent host but bulk pack ammo will spit shards of crap all over your arms and sometimes face. I don’t have this issue with the Ruger.

The best 22lr host is a bolt gun with subs.

Does the barrel move on semiauto .22s other than Ruger? Does it matter?

I wonder how the pressure of 5.56 at the end of a 16" barrel compares the .22 at 3" or whatever...

Whatever you get, make sure it has steel baffles. Much easier to clean, rotary tumbler with steel pins is probably the easiest.

The DA Mask, its the latest hotness and a good suppressor. That said the Element II is better IMO. It's lighter, sounds the same, and usually half the price. I got mine on sale for $230.
I own both and if I did it again, I would buy another Element II instead of the Mask.

Do your own research as people like to recommend what they have or whats popular.

You are incorrect about a 5.56 or 7.62 blowing a threaded suppressor apart. I have each of the two listed below. The 5.56 is rated to work with a .243 Winchester. The Magnum is rated to .338 Winchester Magnum.

TAC 65 here, mounted on a Walther PPK/S .22. Will mount the TAC 65 on my G44, when I get one(And the Barrel! C'mon Glock! Need to sell G44 already threaded!). TAC 65 very decent price, and very easy to clean. K baffles, and dead quiet w/ sub .22's. The striker/ hammer on the pistol makes more noise then the bullet exiting the barrel. Spooky quiet, it's amazing.

Has anyone even seen a thread kit for the G 44 since initial offerings? My 22 suppressor is in jail until later in the year, but I would sure like to find the barrel and kit for one.
"Thread kit"?? The threaded barrel comes with a thread protector and an adapter for 1/2 X 28 cans. Everyone including Glock was out of the TBs, but I can see now, that they are back in stock in several places. My LGS had a few for too much money -but with my discount came to $1.50 above Armorer's pricing - + tax unfortunately.

Try Glock.US store to see if the are back there.
