I have a 43 then got a P365 for the capacity. Now the 43X is out. For a CCW/off duty gun I’m debating on getting s G43X. Y reasons are:

-First off I’ve always been a Glock guy - my duty gun has been a Glock of some sort of Glock (currently a G17.4). I also have 2 G19’s I carry a bunch either at the desk or off duty.
-I hear a lot of static about grip angle/forward thumbs grip. If I’m so used to the Glock angle maybe its a better fit with the G43X
-while I know Sig says they’ve fixed the P365 issues I was still going to buy a second just in case - maybe getting a 43X is better...

What’re your thoughts?

I think we, as gun people, are always looking for an excuse to buy a new gun. We look for excuses on why this gun will be better than that gun, or little things like capacity or slightly longer grip, etc.

If you want a 43x, I say pick one up. But I think your 43 will serve your purposes just fine. The 365 probably will too. But the 43x will probably serve the purpose as well.

If you can afford all three, get them all. No need to limit yourself because it is always good to have choices.

I believe the weight of the 43x and P365 empty/loaded are comparable, if you are ok with concealing the longer grip on the 43x I would suggest that. I haven't shot a P365 but when I held one I thought the grip was too small, which is the reason I sold my 43 when I got the 48. I am waiting on a Stealthgear holster and when that comes I will switch from my 26.5 to the 48 for carry because I like the longer grip when shooting.

I am sure you have already thought of this but I will say it anyway, I like to have 8 to 10 magazines for each of my pistols. Allows me to keep a few loaded for the car, nightstand, etc. With Glock mags about half the price of the Sig mags, that adds up.

If you already own a 365 why buy another get something you don’t have.I too have a 365 love it shoots great and didn’t need to change anything. But I carry a gen4 33 to have the same ballistics or better as a 34 size gun in a subcompact!

I prefer the 43X over both other choices. I had two 43s and sold one and traded my 365 (an early version) off pretty quickly as it had minor issues. That said, the 365 is one of the most popular firearms in the USA right now and Sig seems to have worked out all of the bugs.

P365. I've only owned the P365 and G43, and I absolutely love my 43, but the P365 is noticeably smaller, pocketable and holds 4 more rounds. Other than that, I prefer the G43 overall in terms of ergos, track record and trigger. But I carry the P365. If glock could get 8 rounds in the G43 I'd sell the p365 probably.

ETS gets close with their 7 Rd mags. I have them for my carry mag for the G43. I also have the 9rd with the xgrip sleeve, again flawless. If you wonder about the grip length of the 43x try a 9rd mag in your 43.

I have both the 43 and P365 and carry the p365 only now.

Never owned or fired a 43x or 48, but I did have 43. I never really warmed up to the 43. I love Glocks but I ended up selling the 43 and getting a P365. There are rumors going around that Sig is working on a larger 365 about the size of the 43x that would hold 15 rounds. The 365 is already the most popular handgun, in the subcompact area at least. If they do put out a 43x size with a 15 round capacity they will probably capture a big chunk of the compact market. All the other manufactures better get with it or they may find themselves losing a lot of sales to Sig.

Decisions, decisions. I am a Glock guy, and carried a 43 for a long time. Recently I changed to carrying a P365 simply because I liked the way it shot, and it was lighter, smaller, and easier to carry IWB. Even more recently I had an occasion to spend a Saturday morning shooting with a friend who is a retired career FBI SA, senior swat team supervisor, and regional FBI swat director. We talked about pistols. He is a Glock guy through and through. He looked my 365 over but said he would stay with what he knew. All of a sudden that made sense to me, and back to my 43 I went for now. If you are comfortable with Glock, stay with Glock. Just my opinion.

Yeah, its been out for awhile now... its called a P320 sub-compact... lol
Personally, i dont see sig doing that with the P365 platform, but i could be wrong. We`ll see! ;)
