G43 IWB holster preference ?

I've never really considered carrying IWB because my pants didn't have that much extra room. My pants fit... or they DID. I know there is at least one IWB holster in my pile ...somewhere.
I've never been "fat" but my knees are giving me trouble at 216 lbs and 6' 0". I've worked out since I was 15 and I think Regan was President.... Well, I just dropped 30 lbs and now all my pants have IWB room ! Can't leave home without a belt either.
I will never carry with muzzle covering my junk. I prefer about 4 o'clock strong side carry same as OWB carry.
I'd prefer a holster that doesn't remove the finish from the slide at a frightening rate. I've noticed the molded plastic holsters seem less aggressive than heat shrunk kydex. The molded holsters are less likely to change shape if left in the car in Summer I think?

The choice of holsters is very subjective and a personal thing because everyone’s body is built a little differently.

I have two N8Tactical Professional IWB tuckable holsters, www.n8tactical.com

Tuckable means your shirt can be tucked in around the outside of the holster while wearing it inside your belt. One holster is for my Glock 17.4 and the other holster is for my Glock 30.4 and my Glock 19.5. N8 sells several types of holsters but I like their Professional model best. It is a single clip holster that I wear at 9 o’clock (right behind my 2nd belt loop) as I am left handed. Some people don’t like a single clip because they say the holster moves around. Mine settles into my left hip and doesn’t move around at all. It is all day wearing comfort. Because it is a single clip instead of a double clip it is very quick and easy to put on and take off which I really like.

The Professional has 3 layers of material. A very soft suede backing that sits against your body inside your belt, then a rubber neoprene layer to block moisture from reaching the gun and the soft black leather on the outside of the holster that the gun sits next to. No part of the gun ever touches your body. The gun slides into a poly carbonate shell which has retention, trigger guard protection and adjustable cant.

N8 has a lifetime guarantee and a 2 week trial. Their products and customer service is absolutely superior.

I like leather. This one you don’t even know you’re wearing.

Vedder light tuck for kydex, Kusiak leather signature style for leather. Both provide full shield of slide and very minimal size to the gun all the way around. In fact, I just ordered a Vedder light tuck for my G43 yesterday. 15% Labor Day sale!

With my G43 it'll be a Blade-Tech "Klipt".

I know it's only ~$19, but it works well. I'll usually carry this AIWB, but it'll also work for IWB.

For my G43, I also have a Mernickle made from black leather, with a clip set at an "FBI" angled cant, made for a 3:30-4:00 o'clock iwb placement.

Another option to consider: wear a tank top undershirt , then a set of Perry brand suspenders attached to your belt with an untucked T-shirt over the suspenders. The suspenders and your IWB holstered pistol become invisible. The Perry’s brand suspenders provide great support for the belt with the attached IWB holstered pistol, regardless of what concealed carry position you prefer.

I owned a 43 or two (actually 10 of them) and for that gun, any IWB holster that I used worked well. It's a very slim line gun that carries very easily. When I read your post, I was sitting here trying to remember which of the IWB holsters that I had for my 43s was my favorite, and really - they all worked the same. (I had 6-7 different ones, some kydex and some kydex/leather hybrids).

Good luck on your search, lots of good holsters out there for the 43 - as has been mentioned already.

I like value and don't believe in paying up for "names" if I don't need to. Quality for the right price is my game. I have found a terrific holster buy in AMBERIDE holsters. I have one for my 48 and think it's terrific. The version for the 43/43x is only $26! I'm not an IWB guy and like you appendix isn't for me. But 3 o'clock and 5 o'clock behind the hip seems to work well (though I've become fond of the 5 o'clock position. Lots of color options available. I don't think Amberide has any options for attached lights. But if your 43 isn't sporting a light there are lot of options. Retention is good btw. P.S..... I bought a claw for my Amberide for $11 which helps keep my 43x handle tucked in. Probably unnecessary for the 43's shorter grip.

Happy with my Ambiride. Decent quality at a lower price. Can tweak the angle and stiffness with supplied allen wrench.
