I was visually comparing my G36 against my G19(4) and the slide widths looked pretty darn close so I got out my digital caliper to check, and surprise, they measure about the same - about 25.5, which by the way, isn't even close to the measurements on the Glock web site. I thought it might be my inexpensive Harbor Freight digital caliper, but I compared it to a couple of old-school rulers and the caliper appears to be dead on - any thoughts? Thanks!

Thanks - the Glock site clearly shows the width measurement coming from the slide - maybe I'll call my old buddy, Gaston Glock, and let him know that there's an inaccuracy - he'll probably send me a single-stack 9mm as his way of saying thanks . . .

LOL, I started wondering if my G36 was wearing the wrong slide, based on the width stated on the Glock web site - all is good, now that it's been clarified that the width measurement applies to the frame, NOT the slide - the graphic on the web site is misleading - it's not that the G36's slide is that much thinner - but the frame IS thinner.

Now I think I'm gonna go back to carrying my G19(4) - heck, they're about the same size, and pretty close in weight.
