G29 vs G30- internal parts beyond ejector?

Hello,

I've read a bunch of threads over the years, but found one that a member claimed Glock said the internal parts on a G30 were different from those on a G29, and they couldn't handle the power of the 10mm round.

In my other reading, I don't remember any discussion about internal parts differences in the frame, but it is logical that the ejector might be different.

However, I don't remember anything being mentioned as different.

Now, the slides- yes, the extractor is different and the slide is different [due to width of breech face on slide, at least].

My understanding was that the only parts to really be concerned with if running 10mm in a G30 were the extractor and the recoil spring assembly [which is recommended to change, but has the same part number from Glock]. If running a 10mm slide/top end, then there was nothing to be concerned with. [beyond mags, of course]

I don't recall any other parts being of different structural integrity.

Is my memory right? or what did I miss?

I figure we may have more insight after a few years of people running 10mm barrels in .45acp Glocks [be they conversion or OEM dimension 10mm].

Thank you in advance.

So far, I've only fired about 150 rounds of 10mm through my G30SF. The first 100 were through a StormLake 45 to 10mm conversion barrel. The last 50 were a KKM G29 barrel.

I did the modification to the .45 extractor.

I have not had any cycling issues. I bought a different barrel simply because my conversion barrel was all over the place [so it gave me an excuse for a 4.5" KKM barrel- but no conversions any longer].

Then, I was doing some reading on the subject recently and read a post 'somewhere' in which someone stated that there were different parts in the G30 frame, and it couldn't handle the 10mm pressures.

Which made no sense to me- but, I thought I'd check to see if there were any new discoveries since the linked thread was last updated.
